We're continuing in our real estate contract all the way to paragraph 19, Termite Control Requirements. This basically says that your lender, if you're buying a home, is going to require the seller to provide a one year contract and a termite clearance letter for the home that you're buying.
The bank wants to know that the investment that they are purchasing isn't going to get chewed up by little bugs in the coming future. The beautiful part of this as a buyer is that it means that you are getting a year of protection. It's up to you after that year to keep that on.
But if termites do decide to show up to your house, the company that gave that letter and that contract is supposed to come out and warranty their work and fix any damage.
