If you can do a screen, I recommend you do it. With the mosquitoes we have, it is a good investment and often it can be done for less than you might think.
Another thing is look out for ways to provide shade. Big umbrellas or a pergola with some cool fabric can be a great way to provide shade in the backyard. And then finally a fire pit. Always a cool way to add a little bit of spice to the house and have a fun thing to do outside, especially when you throw in some s'mores. So something to consider if you're looking for ways to get outside.
