We're talking about paint. More specifically, lead based paint on the real estate contract. Paragraph 20 discusses the lead-based risk assessment. Basically, what this state is that if your home is built before 1978, the buyer must beware that lead based paint was still in circulation at that time and could be present on the property.
This causes all sorts of health issues. And so, by law we have to let you know that if the house was built before then you could be at risk.
So, keep that in mind, even if it's a new construction home, but yet there's an old barn or maybe an old structure on the property. This could also come into play. Something to keep in mind when you are comparing the whole charming, beautiful fixer uppers that you have dreams of making your own.
