I want to introduce a new series that we're going to go into, and it's comparing the difference between buying a new construction home or an existing home.

There are four main differences or four main things to wrestle with when you're shopping and trying to compare which direction you want to go.

First is the price. This is what most people think of and it's significantly different. The difference in buying a new home versus an existing, older home.

The other thing is sometimes with the new construction, especially if it's not complete, you could you could be buying an idea of a home instead of one that you can actually see. And that can lead to some unmet expectations, which could be a little bit disappointing.

The other is just does the house have character or some of those home-like amenities that you expect in a home that's already had a family or group of people living in it?

And then finally, we want to talk about warranties: Warranties and the condition of the home is probably one of the biggest differences besides price between comparing the two.

Hope this helps!
