It's important to tell the truth on your property disclosure.
So today in our real estate contract, we are talking about paragraph 18 covering the seller property disclosure. This is essentially a form that the seller fills out to tell you as the buyer everything they know about the house. Now, they obviously are telling the truth or supposed to.
So, on this, keep in mind the person filling it out their only qualification is that they lived in the house. They're not necessarily some sort of home inspector or building master. They just know what they know from when they've lived in the house. So, if you're curious about those things, that's a helpful document to look at.
Just make sure you know it's not like a true home inspection. Give us a call if you have any questions on what it looks like to feel confident in your next purchase.
